​Dorian Baker, a graduate of Cal Poly, dedicated 25 years of her career to teaching first and second grades at Virginia Peterson Elementary School in Paso Robles. A strong advocate for school choice, she retired from the district to help establish Almond Acres Charter Academy in San Miguel, where she taught second grade for three years before her final retirement in 2017. Dorian has been a resident of North County for 40 years, where she and her husband built their home and raised their four children. She enjoys being an active member of her community and serving as a trustee. Her greatest joys come from her family relationships as a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
